A family room can still feel cozy even after the rocking chair is gone. At the time of our first visit, this room was very tired and claustrophobic because of the dated colours, mismatched furnishings and overcrowding. On the positive side, the abundance of natural light from the large picture window was a definite plus for the long narrow room. By replacing the worn carpet and softening the room colour, the stage was nicely set for the addition of a few new furniture pieces. This room is now an excellent example of de-cluttering at its finest and a true testimonial to the phrase “LESS IS MORE”.
